Legislative monitoring


The European legislation is constantly developing and permeates considerably the legal order of the Member States. Among the regulatory tools used by the European institutions are the regulations, that is laws directly applicable in the Member States, directives, legally binding act which must be transposed into the national legislation of the Member States, and communications, policy and guidance documents setting out the priorities in a given policy field. The decision-making process is very complex and involves at different levels of intensity all the institutional actors of the EU (European Commission, European Parliament, Council, Economic and Social Committee, Committee of the Regions and the European Central Bank) .
CBE EEIG constantly monitors the evolution of he European legislation in the fields of interest of its members (internal market for services, banks, investment companies, financial transactions, regulated markets and private equity). This activities consists in the analysis of legislative proposals submitted by the European Commission and in the monitoring of the entire decision-making process, until the publication of the document on the Official Journal of the European Union.
